MAthematical LINguistics

MALIN, MAthematical LINguistics gathers virtually three recurring scientific events in computational linguistics:

  • MOL The 17th edition of « Mathematics of Language (MOL) » a conference series initiated in  1984, a biennal meeting of the « Special Interest Group on Mathematics of Language » of the « Association for Computational Linguistics
  • LACL The 10th edition of  « Logical Aspects of Computational Linguistics », a conference series launched  1996 in Nancy by Christian Retoré, main organizer of Malin
  • LACompLing The 4th edition of « Logic, Algorithms and Computational Linguistics » that started in 2017.
  • MaLin short papers sessions to discuss on going work.

Those events share a common view on computational linguistics  by putting in light symbolic methods in natural language processing either on their own or combined with statistical methods.
